World Champion BBQ Team is our Championship BBQ Team out of Westmont, IL. Our Team (Scottie, Zoe, Lexi and Aunt Liz Anne Johnson) hit the BBQ circuit in 2006. We honor Corliss and named our team after a "Cancer Sucks!" button she proudly wore to chemo every Thursday. We donate all profits back to the Corliss Johnson Memorial Foundation because competition BBQ is more than winning contests; it's how we bring our cause to the BBQ World. We are more than halfway to our goal of cooking in all 50 states!

Winning 5 Grand Championships, 4 Reserve Grand Championships with our best year in 2008 placing 8th overall in the Kansas City Barbeque Society Team of the Year race, we are very proud that in 2006 we won the most prestigious BBQ contest in the World - "The Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue". We accomplished this major victory the same weekend that my father, Ken Johnson, passed away due to complications from cancer. Always urging us to follow our dreams, he unfortunately never got to see our "Jack" trophy. He gave us the strength to compete that weekend, so Dad, "We hope you are proud." Our World Championship is a platform for our cause and with a national following, various BBQr's who believe in our cause and our fight generously donate portions of their winnings to us.

We hope to see you out on the road! Cancer Sucks! -Scottie
